Stone urn with a lid, 2nd century A. D., Mengeš

In 1979 Janez Šuštaršič found a stone urn, which was covered by a plate. The grave was found on the south eastern corner of the house on Ulica Mengeške skupine (now Slomškova ulica 13) on the parcel 568/2 in Mengeš. In the grave were two balsamariums, a ribbed glass bowl and an iron knife. Judging by the grave goods the grave dates from first half or 2nd century A. D.
