1. ZAPRICE CASTLE MUSEUM

ZAPRICE CASTLE MUSEUM

Muzejska pot 3

Interested in the oldest finds in the Kamnik region, such as mammoth and cave bear bones, the Kamnik mint, the everyday life of Kamnik locals or shepherds on the Velika planina, Thonet's furniture and industrial heritage? Zaprice Castle is one of the few preserved manors in the Kamnik region and offers particularly beautiful views of the town of Kamnik.

How exactly is this this velocipede supposed to be ridden?

2. RUDOLF MAISTER’S BIRTHPLACE

RUDOLF MAISTER’S BIRTHPLACE

Šutna 23

The house at Šutna 23 is where the Slovenian general, patriot and humanist Rudolf Maister was born in 1874. His life is like a dramatic story. And he is a rather unusual Slovene: a self-confident, daring soldier, especially after the end of the WWI. And a few more clues: where did he put his verses to paper?; was he a movie star, perhaps? More about all this at Maister’s Birthplace, if you decide to come by.

Do you recognise Rudolf Maister's favourite toy?

3. MIHA MALEŠ GALLERY

MIHA MALEŠ GALLERY

Glavni trg 2

The Miha Maleš Gallery keeps the entire graphic oeuvre of the Slovenian graphic artist, painter and publisher Miha Maleš, and also collects his other works and those of his contemporaries. It is a true house of art, where you can come face to face with the works of Miha Maleš, his contemporaries and other Slovenian artists. If you are enthusiastic about 20th century art, then the Miha Maleš Gallery is the right place for you.

For what purpose exactly did Maleš make the window with St. Cosmas and St. Damijan?

VIEW GALLERY

Glavni trg 2

View Gallery is an exhibition space dedicated to contemporary art production.

Through it, we offer young artists who are just starting out an opportunity to gain visibility and enter the art world. If you are interested in Slovenian contemporary art, you will definitely visit the View Gallery.

Is it an artwork or a pillow?

MUZEJSKA TRGOVINICA

MUSEUM SHOP

In all three museum shops you can find intriguing souvenirs, products, books, postcards and reproductions, all of which are quite special and related to the cultural heritage that we keep in the Intermunicipal Museum Kamnik.

Did Countess Veronica really rough up the mammoth?

What's with this majolica?

Or maybe put down your thoughts in the Maleš's Embrace notebook?
