Traditional Costumes Through the Lens of Local Photographer Dušan Letnar

The Kamnik Institute for Tourism and Sport, organiser of the Kamnik National Costumes and Clothing Heritage Days, works closely with local cultural institutions in preparing the festival. In addition to the Kamnik Public Institute for Culture and the Kamnik Regional Unit of the Public Fund for Cultural Activities (JSKD), the festival also collaborates with the Intermunicipal Museum Kamnik. Bringing together different institutions makes an important contribution to presenting heritage in a comprehensive way and bringing it closer to visitors through a variety of experiences.

During the National Costumes and Clothing Heritage Days, visitors can also see an exhibition by Kamnik photographer Dušan Letnar at the Miha Maleš Gallery. The exhibition features photographs closely connected with Kamnik’s traditional festival. Through the lens of a local photographer, the images offer a unique view of traditional costumes and the atmosphere of the event, presenting another fascinating story of this year’s festival.

You are warmly invited to visit the exhibition at the Miha Maleš Gallery free of charge:

• Friday, 11 September 2026, from 10:00 to 18:00
• Saturday, 12 September 2026, from 10:00 to 18:00
• Sunday, 13 September 2026, from 10:00 to 15:00

A guided tour of the exhibition will also be a special experience, taking place on Saturday, 12 September, at 13:00, and Sunday, 13 September, at 13:30.
