Public leadership on the exhibition Franjo Malgaj

Rudolf Maister’s Birthplace
When: 03.04.2019, from 19:00 to 20:00

In Maister’s birth house on March 14, 2019, a new occasional exhibition was opened – Franjo Malgaj, a young man selected by history. The exhibition came to our guests from the Museum of Recent History of Celje. The authors are three; dr. Tone Kregar, director of the museum, and curators: dr. Marija Počivavšek and Darja Jan.

The story tells in words and pictures about the young, just a 24-year-old boy from Šentjur near Celje, who, after the end of the Great War I and the break-up of Austro-Hungarian Empire with a group of volunteers, went to battle for Carinthia and fell there. He was Maister’s close associate.

After an interesting and illustrative exhibition, they will be led by dr. Tone Kregar and Darja Jan.
