Guided Tour of Urban Kamnik

TO A GUIDED TOUR OF URBAN KAMNIK
featuring a performance by the ALEKSANDER SEVER TRIO

on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 7:00 PM

Guided by MARKO KUMR, GORAN ZAVRŠNIK, and IRINA MITOV through various Kamnik locations
Meeting point: 7:00 PM – in the courtyard of Zaprice Castle, Kamnik

The event will begin with a guided tour of the “Veselo v Kamnik” exhibition led by Marko Kumr, followed by an exhibition about Felicita Kalinšek, presented by Irina Mitov. The tour continues with a walk through Šutna, guided by Goran Završnik, featuring fascinating stories from Kamnik’s recent history. We will explore Slovenia’s most beautiful and most “anesthetized” street, Šutna, pass through a devastated area in the town center featuring both a real and an urban jungle, and finally ascend to Mali grad.

At 8:30 PM: concert by the Aleksander Sever Trio
(Aleksander Sever – vibraphone, Justin Zitt – piano, Samuel Dietze – drums)

This international trio brings together musicians from Germany and Slovenia, united by their passion for improvisation, experimental rhythms, and dense textures. The group features Aleksander Sever on vibraphone and electronics, Justin Zitt on piano, and Samuel Dietze on drums and electronics. They will perform original compositions interwoven with improvisation. The trio’s sound ranges from minimalist to more complex structures and rhythms. By blending acoustic instruments with electronic elements, they will create a unique musical experience.
