From the depths of the Suhadole well

The municipality of Komenda and the Intermunicipal Museum of Kamnik invite you to the opening of the exhibition

FROM THE DEPTHS OF THE SUHADOLE WELL

on Friday, October 13, 2023, at 9:30 a.m.,

to the exhibition site along the School Road in Komenda.

The cultural program will feature the Komenda Moste elementary school youth choir, led by prof. Marjeta Čimžar.

The exhibition will be opened by the mayor of the Municipality of Komenda, Mr. Jurij Kern.

Archaeological finds from Suhadol will be presented by dr. Jana Horvat (ZRC SAZU, Institute of Archeology) and Janja Železnikar (Intermunicipal museum Kamnik).

The exhibition shows finds from the Roman well from Suhadole near Komenda from the beginning of the 1st century AD. Various objects lay in the well: earthenware jugs, wooden and metal buckets, animal bones, fragments of vessels, tools, parts of clothing and parts of various equipment, which tell us stories about the way of life, about work, about fashion and other things of that time of the inhabitants of the Kamniška Bistrica level.
