Final Public Guided Tour and Closing of the Exhibition So Close, So Far

So Close, So Far is a group project by four contemporary visual artists who live and work in the town of Kamnik. They exhibit both in Slovenia and internationally, through solo and group exhibitions. The works presented in this exhibition were created in dialogue with the reflections of the exhibition’s curator, Saša Bučan. Participating artists include printmaker Oliver Pilić, painter and conservator Matevž Sterle, printmaker and sculptor Nina Koželj, and artist, writer, and curator Louise Winter.

Through their works, the artists explore the time in which they live and create—a time in which art is all too often pushed to the margins and spoken of as a parasite that fails to generate profit.

You are warmly invited to the final public guided tour and the closing event of the exhibition So Close, So Far at the Miha Maleš Gallery, on Thursday, 23 October 2025, at 6 PM.

We will walk through the exhibition—featuring works by Nina Koželj, Oliver Pilić, Matevž Sterle, and Louise Winter—together with the artists themselves.
