Presentation of Kopač’s Monograph
VLASTO KOPAČ – THE QUIET POWER OF CREATION
The book will be presented by editor-in-chief Janja Železnikar together with the co-authors.

The monograph Vlasto Kopač – The Quiet Power of Creation presents the life and work of an exceptionally versatile creator who left a lasting mark on Slovenian architecture, design, mountaineering, nature conservation, and cultural heritage preservation. Through contributions by fifteen authors, the book reveals Kopač as an alpinist, architect, draughtsman, conservator, cartographer, and collector of folk heritage. The central text was written posthumously by his daughter, Mojca Kopač. Special attention is devoted to Dachau, the post-war trials, and his influence on Velika Planina, the Path Along the Wire of Occupied Ljubljana, and Slovenian mountaineering culture.

The book was created as part of a joint project dedicated by the participating institutions to the work and memory of Vlasto Kopač under the collective title Vlasto Kopač – Creator of Space, Guardian of Heritage and Memory.

Opening of the Exhibition
ART ON A POSTCARD
Curated by Saša Bučan and Louise Winter.

At Pogled Gallery, gallery curator Saša Bučan and co-author of the exhibition, British artist Louise Winter, will present the exhibition Art on a Postcard.

Why postcards? As a nostalgic reminder of a time when we would still pick up a pen wherever we were — and for every occasion — to write a sentence or two. Sometimes we filled almost the entire postcard, recording everyday moments or even very intimate thoughts.

The exhibition will feature works by more than one hundred Slovenian and international artists who submitted artistic postcards. The exhibition will remain on view throughout the summer.
