Guided Tour of the Exhibition on Vlasto Kopač at Krakovski nasip in Ljubljana
On 25 August 2026 at 11 a.m., we invite you to a guided tour of the exhibition about Vlasto Kopač on Krakovski nasip in Ljubljana.
The exhibition will be presented by its creators. We will meet at the introductory panel, from where we will explore together the life and creative work of this remarkable visionary.
Just a few steps from Krakovski nasip, in the famous Zois Palace, Vlasto Kopač lived and worked – one of the most versatile creative figures in 20th-century Slovenia. He was an architect, a student of Jože Plečnik, a conservator, designer, draughtsman, cartographer, mountaineer, and a dedicated guardian of natural and cultural heritage.
Through his breadth of knowledge, expertise, and perseverance, he helped preserve numerous stories, objects, plans, monuments, and records that might otherwise have been lost to time.
To present the diversity of his extraordinary creative legacy – from architecture and design to mountains, heritage, and memory – museums, heritage institutions, and research organisations that preserve his rich legacy have joined forces. On the 20th anniversary of his death, the exhibition is one of numerous events taking place throughout this year.
The exhibition will be on display at Krakovski nasip only until 27 August 2026, after which it will move to Mojstrana!
