They Say is a contemporary dance performance grounded in a raw expression and a sincere attempt at unapologetic movement. Its inspiration stems from Monique Wittig’s The Guerrilla Girls: “They say that they conceive of their bodies as a whole.” The performance explores the perception and understanding of the body when its fragments are rearranged, transforming the meanings they carry.

Anamaria Bagarić is an author, choreographer and dancer. She presented her first authorial solo Dark Matter(s) (2017) in Egypt and collaborated with the Cairo Opera House. In Slovenia, she regularly works with the physical theatre collective Fourklor and on various contemporary dance and theatre projects. She is the author of the performances Prism (2019), Coffee, Black (2022), Too Much of Me Is Hidden in the World (2024), Too Much of the World Is Hidden in Me (2025), and tissue:human (2025).
