MASTER WOODCARVER MAKS BERGANT AND PLEČNIK: THE CHARM OF WOOD
on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 7:00 PM
at the Intermunicipal Museum Kamnik, Muzejska pot 3, Kamnik.

The exhibition will be opened by Zora Torkar, Director of the Intermunicipal Museum Kamnik, Ana Porok, Curator at the Museum and Galleries of Ljubljana – Plečnik House, and a representative of the Bergant family.
The musical program will feature cellist Sofija Lederer.

The guest exhibition Maks Bergant and Plečnik: The Magic of Wood offers an insight into the fruitful artistic collaboration between Kamnik’s master woodcarver Maks Bergant and architect Jože Plečnik. It focuses on the period between 1947 and 1957, during which the two artists worked together on projects such as the renovation of the church in Stranje, the furnishing of the church on Šutna in Kamnik, and other works.
